Relic Stupa of the Licchavis

Here the Licchavis reverentially encased one of the eight portions of Lord Buddha relics, which they received after the Mahaparinirvana.

Beneath the stupa a stone casket containing Relics of Lord Buddha was found. Here band of monkeys offered a bowl of honey to the Blessed One.

Vaishali Ananda Stupa & Asokan pillar
